Hypnosis Vs Influence Vs Persuasion Vs Manipulation

“Hi James

One question please – for you, what’s the difference between hypnosis, persuasion and influence?”

This is a question from Luis V. In replying, I have added in a forth category – ‘manipulation’. In some ways they are all ‘taking a different slice of the same cake’, but distinctions can be useful, so this video roughly outlines my perspective at the time of answering.

For me they’re all the same. the mutual factor is the ability to bypass the critical filters in order to communicate with subconscious. the difference is in the intent and desired outcome.

you can add enchantment, propaganda, mass control.

I have a question about the hypnosis wihtout trance hypnosis.I saw the videos and i was very impressed and i would like to learn it.But what i would like to know is will it work with anyone?And do you do some kind of pretalk before you can acutlally do the hypnosis without trance and you give them suggestions and so on.Or you can just walk up to them and they will do what you tell them?

  It depends what you mean by ‘work’. The way I think about this is ‘hypnosis is not 100%, but everyone can experience something’.   Yes I do use preframing. Walking up to people and ‘commanding’ them will get mixed results (from getting compliance and hypnosis to punches in the face I’d imagine).
  
  To be clear, these are real psychological/communication skills and not pie-in-the-sky ‘magic wand’ stuff. They work in the real world, which is messy and complex and full of subtle variables. There is no one formula that fits all, so you need to develop YOURSELF as an influencer/’hypnotist’. Hypnosis Without Trance will greatly help you to do that.
