Hypnosis is deep. It’s profound… and it’s everywhere!
Whilst we may be able to sit down and watch somebody conduct a formal hypnosis session, this does not mean that hypnosis is by any means confined to such contexts. The truth is, hypnosis is happening all the time and in many ways we live our lives through it and it is shaping our perceptions of reality in every moment.
And this is the real gift that learning hypnosis brings – a richer, deeper understanding of how our minds work and how we are cognitively shaping our reality moment by moment.
In this video I am discussing this very subject and outlining how HWT will be growing to serve you better in understanding hypnosis in everyday life.
I hope you get a lot from the video, and do ask questions!
(I will from now on be answering the best of your questions directly by video!)

June 9, 2013Hi James,
Interesting new direction – can you elaborate on the following:-
Do you have a specific structure to becoming more powerful without the temporary “tricks” or crutch of hypnosis ?
How do you suggest people become more effective at influencing their own and others realities within the new context raised within these new video posts ?
Many Thanks
James

June 9, 2013These are good questions James!
1. I do have specific structures (many, rather than one).
2. I suggest people get really good at what I call Semantic Engineering – playing in and out different semantic structures (meaning structures) and noticing the difference. I’ll be finding out how much I can share here on the blog without getting too deep in.
All the very best

June 9, 2013Ok nice video really do like the new direction (reminds me of the SS ambiguity :)), anyways as a hypnotist who wants to get even better what can I do in my own head to up my game in hypnosis and in general life?
To clarify the question a bit, any tips and useful information you can give me from the context of “reality shaper”, that will improve me even more as a hypnotist? Inner game basiclly?
Thank you James.

June 9, 2013Hi Adis
YES, Absolutely. And, going forward, I’ll be sharing them right here on the blog.

June 9, 2013Hi Inam – thanks for engaging here!
I would like to be really clear that here at Hypnosis Without Trance it is ABSOLUTELY the position that there is NO special state that is ‘hypnosis’. (Hence Hypnosis WITHOUT Trance 😉 ) so if you are not convinced that there is, you are in the same place as me! 🙂
When you see formal hypnosis happening you are seeing a ritualised use of language and communication to direct attention, lead cognition and seed ideas, for the purpose of leading the ‘subject’ into an altered perception of reality (hand stuck to table, can’t remember name, shift in mood or sensation, feeling more empowered etc – the possibilities are near endless).
So hypnosis may be a process that alters state, but there is no specific state that is hypnosis. (others will tell you different, but that is the position here at HWT).
I am guessing that you have not read Hypnosis Beyond the Trance Myth yet, so I would recommend that as a place to start.

June 10, 2013Thanks for the video…I appreciate you taking the time to do these. I actually had to close my eyes…as I have VOR issues because I have vestibular issues. The movement was too much for me. I really like your videos…if you could not have so much movement…I would be so helpful for me. Really looking forward to more videos.

June 10, 2013Hi James,
Once again, brilliant. I’m with YOU. If hypnosis does not bring about transformation, then what is the point? At this juncture, I don’t need any “tricks” in my bag, just tools for positive change….for myself and others.
cheers!

June 10, 2013When you talk please don’t move about. You are ‘de-hypnotising’ yourself.

June 10, 2013It sounds like you are going in a very exciting direction and I agree that a knowledge of hypnosis has value far beyond the confines of a formal hypnotherapy session. I have long had the suspicion that those with a strong vested interest in societal control (government, big business and religion) have played a big part in relegating hypnosis to being a fringe phenomena because it vividly reveals how they “make buttons and push them”
P.S. I agree with Theresa that the filming technique of the video was bit disorienting and I wondered if you trying a variation of the “vertigo induction.”
admin
June 13, 2013😀 no vertigo induction. Just a message delivered in a moment.
I KNOW that the more people know about ‘everyday hypnosis’ the freer they will be from potential pernicious influence (whether intentional or not!)

ok, Thanks for your generosity and it´s a pity to be here ,so far. Maybe in the end of this year I would be flying to Spain, and why not enjoy some of your Seminar in UK.
Thank you again James.
We will see us some day.
