Spaces, Places and Unconscious Knowledge

Did I ever say how I first got into hypnosis and NLP?

Well, I would love to tell a tale of intrigue  and excitement, but the truth is that I saw Derren Brown on the Jonathan Ross show in 2002 and he totally blew my mind. So I got straight on the internet and googled for what he was doing, then went and got books!

Among the first books I got were Introducing NLP by Seymore & O’Conner, and 13 Steps to Mentalism by Tony Corinda – two very different books which started me on two very different (but closely related) paths. These days I don’t perform much mentalism as I have concentrated on the more ‘serious’ side of things (I totally love doing changework and teaching hypnosis, and can’t get enough of learning new things), but occasionally…

This bit of video was taken at the recent No-Fail Protocol training. The truth is it wasn’t really relevant to the content of the day, but there were cameras running, so I couldn’t resist. Here is what it is about:

Have you ever had the experience of knowing something that you really shouldn’t have known?

Maybe you just had a feeling about it, or maybe it was something more tangible than that.

What you are about to see is based in the concept that there is intangible information encoded on many levels within our environment – knowledge that we have access to outside of consciousness and that we can gain access to this information through hypnotically eliciting ‘somatic metaphor’.

This is…

Spaces, Places and Unconscious Knowledge.

Very nice presentation of ultra mental. The same could be done asking the spec to stop whenever he felt compelled to and this without HWT, the perception for the assistance would be the same. But with your presentation the effect must be very strong for the very own subject, a new shift in its reality ! a real convincer of the power of the mind !

That was awesome. It was like watching Derren Brown. How do you do that?!

    • Thanks Javier

Its done using a mixture of techniques… A large dose of Hypnosis plus some ‘esoteric knowledge’ I can’t reveal (or I will be thrown out of the British Society of Mystery Entertainers).

      All the very best

I love it. I always freak out when I see these kind of things. I got interested in NLP when I saw Derren Brown’s ‘paying with paper’ video. He blew my mind also. Since then I’ve been learning and learning more about all this stuff. I’m just beginning to see the tip of the iceberg now.

Thanks a lot for sharing your videos. They mean a lot to me.

Very well done james excellent body language

I think Javier that the enviroment everywhere hinted to choose the colour red. James hinted that it was hearts and everytime you choose a person to pick up a number they always answer 7. I think also that james might have anchored the answer given to something within his bodylanguage so that whenever he answered correctly he will fire up that anchor and the subjects uncouncios mind will operate on that like for instance when he choosed the colour black instead of black.

I think that is it. what always astonish me is how james performs it. with such a body language and that expectancy and certainity in his gestures.

    Hi James
    A very nice idea.
    Congratulation
For knowing the principles behind, may i feel so free to put some kind of it in my hypno-performance?
I’m sure to freak out my German audience with this stuff.
Thank You for “sharing” this effect.

    Ruetigre.
